Teaching & Consultancy
Season Butler teaches, lectures and facilitates across universities, cultural institutions and organisational settings. Her work focuses on helping groups think more clearly under conditions of complexity, drawing on narrative practice, performance and critical theory -- as well as her enduring obsession with flight.
She has taught and delivered programmes at institutions including the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, Goldsmiths, the Royal College of Art and Hult International Business School, and has led workshops and talks for organisations including the British Museum, the National Portrait Gallery, Queer Extension, English Touring Opera, CUNY and The Reader Berlin.
Her sessions range from lectures and seminars to closed-room conversations and intensive workshops. Each is carefully structured while remaining responsive to the room, creating environments in which ideas can be tested, reframed and developed collectively.
She has also developed and led a range of independent programmes and reading groups exploring writing practice, collective study and creative development.
